Equipment rental
We rent kayaks, fishing kayaks, canoe, and equipment with delivery to cottage shorelines or excursion starting points in the Vuokatti, Sotkamo, and Kuhmo town center areas. A delivery and pickup fee of 40€ will be added to the rental price. Equipment delivered to the same location is covered by the same fee.
Pickup point: Kuhmontie 160, 88600 Sotkamo. Please bring your own roof racks or trailer.

The wide Fisher is a stable and agile fishing kayak with a high, padded, and adjustable seat that makes paddling and fishing extremely comfortable, even without previous paddling experience. It is also a great choice for beginners who want to try a more stable and higher-capacity kayak.

Spinning rod and lure set
4 pcs.
Sets suitable for perch and pike-perch fishing. The rod can also handle larger pike, but the selected lures are intended for the target species.

The number of hooks on the lures has been reduced, and the barbs have been removed to make releasing fish easier. Barbless hooks are also easier to remove from your finger in case of an accident.

A versatile canoe made from impact- and abrasion-resistant T-Formex ABS layered material, suitable for calm waters, rivers, and small rapids. Thanks to its special material, the canoe is also lightweight and easy to carry over portages.

For longer trips, we recommend renting our 125 L and 100 L waterproof gear bags and a waterproof barrel for an additional €20/day. These can fit the belongings and food supplies of two people even for a week trip, keeping them protected from getting wet.
The canoe can also accommodate one or two dogs. If you need a life vest for a medium-sized or small dog, they are also available for an additional €5/day per item.
Naturehike 3–4 person dome tent

Basic Naturehike dome tent for 3–4 people. It comfortably fits three adults. An easy-to-pitch, free-standing tent designed for summer use. Weight: just over 3 kg. Dogs are also welcome to sleep in this tent.

During a trip, rain can sometimes strike, and in those situations camp life under a tarp is much more comfortable. You can set up the tarp, for example, over a dome tent to create a large vestibule where it is convenient to cook with a camping stove in the shelter from the rain.
The tarp is easy to set up as a ridge shelter between two trees using a long strap or rope.

Inflatable sleeping pad
2 pcs
Inflatable sleeping pads suitable for Finnish summer conditions, designed to handle temperatures dropping close to 0°C without issue.
You will also receive a foam sleeping pad to protect the inflatable pad from sharp ground surfaces, as well as repair kit in case of punctures. By using both pads together, it is possible to sleep even in sub-zero temperatures.

Trangia camping stove
1 pc
A silent marine alcohol-fuelled camping stove. Includes a burner, handle, 2 pots, a frying pan, and a small coffee pot. Basic instructions on how to use the stove are included.
The pots and pan can also be used over an open campfire for cooking, but please note that excessive heat may cause the material to warp.

Rental Terms and Conditions
1. The right to use the kayak/canoe and equipment is transferred from Lake&Hike Oy to the renter for the agreed rental period once Lake&Hike Oy has received the agreed rental payment.
2. If the rental agreement is cancelled no later than 3 days before the start of the rental period, the rental fee will be refunded in full. Cancellations made after this time are non-refundable.
3. The renter must provide the exact delivery and pickup location at the time of booking and be personally present to receive the rental equipment unless otherwise agreed. The rental equipment will only be handed over upon presentation of proof of payment.
4. The renter is responsible for the kayak/canoe, equipment, and their own safety:
- The renter must be able to swim, be at least 18 years old, and possess basic paddling skills.
- Always wear suitable paddling life vests and other necessary safety equipment.
- Never paddle alone. Be aware of your own skill level.
- Pay attention to weather conditions and exercise caution, especially on large open waters.
- Be aware of other water traffic; paddlers must always give way to larger boats.
5. If the kayak/canoe or equipment suffers damage or wear beyond normal use during the rental period, the renter is responsible for covering the repair costs. If the kayak/canoe or equipment is damaged beyond repair or lost, the renter is liable for the replacement cost of an equivalent new product.
6. Kayaks and equipment must be returned clean and by the agreed return time. Any delay or return of dirty equipment must be reported to Lake&Hike Oy. Lake&Hike Oy reserves the right to charge additional fees for late returns or dirty equipment (late return: €45/day, cleaning fee: €25/item).
7. Subleasing and commercial use of the kayaks/canoes and equipment are prohibited without separate permission.
Lake&Hike Oy's responsibilities are limited to providing the agreed kayak/canoe and equipment at the agreed time and in the agreed manner.
These terms and conditions remain valid until further notice.
